TASTE MAKERS – BASIC COOKING AND KITCHEN SKILLS PROGRAM
Welcome to Taste Makers, a hands-on cooking and kitchen skill-building program designed for high-school aged youth. Participants will learn practical skills they can use at home while building confidence, independence, and comfort in the kitchen.
Throughout the program, youth will prepare a variety of foods, learn essential kitchen techniques, and develop healthy cooking habits in a supportive and social environment.

Taste Makers now includes an Ontario Autism Program (OAP) option for an additional fee, with limited spaces available.
The program includes ABA Clinical Oversight in alignment with OAP guidelines and may be eligible for purchase using OAP funds.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN
- Basic Cooking Skills
Learn how to safely use kitchen tools and appliances, understand kitchen safety and hygiene practices, and practice essential cooking techniques. - Kitchen Confidence and Independence
Build practical skills that can be used at home, including following recipes, preparing ingredients, and becoming more comfortable working independently in the kitchen. - Hands-On Cooking Experience
Prepare a variety of dishes while learning through hands-on practice in a supportive and social environment.
