Empower Simcoe is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Journey to Independence Fee for Service program in Orillia! This innovative and inclusive program is designed to provide individuals with diverse abilities the tools and strategies needed to build confidence and achieve greater autonomy in their daily lives. Combining a personalized approach with outcomes-driven learning, Journey to Independence empowers participants to master essential life skills that are crucial for thriving at home, in the workplace, and within their communities.
Participants will learn:
- Financial Management – Budgeting, saving, and managing bank accounts effectively.
- Household Management – Cooking, cleaning, and home safety skills.
- Employment Readiness – Job search strategies, resume building, and interview skills to stand out in the job market.
- Social and Communication Skills – Building meaningful relationships and effective conflict resolution techniques.
- Personal Care – Hygiene, healthcare navigation, and self-advocacy.
